Sex offender not moving to area

The Scott County Sheriff's Office has been notified by the Minnesota Department of Corrections that Ryan Patrick Navratil will not be released into the community and will not be moving to Helena Township.

Navratil, a Level III Predatory Offender, has been civilly committed by Douglas County District Court as a Sexually Dangerous Person.

He had been scheduled for release from prison last month and had planned on moving to a relative's home near St. Benedict in Helena Township. A community notification meeting was held at New Prague High School on May 27.
