Shakopee police shoot, kill stabbing suspect

A 34-year-old Shakopee man was fatally shot by two police officers following a police chase that ended near the intersection of Marschall Road and Highway 169 in Shakopee. The man was a suspect in a stabbing that had occurred earlier that morning in Shakopee on North Main Street. Police responding to that call encountered the suspect, who intentionally rammed a Shakopee Police car and fled the scene. He was forced off the highway into a ditch and officers, fearing for their life, shot the man. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.
