Sharon Vlasak, 60

Sharon Ann Vlasak, 60, of Montgomery, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at The Lodge on Natchez in Elko New Market, after battling cancer since 1989.

Sharon was born on March 3, 1950, in New Prague, a daughter of Frank E. and Donna (Tiede) Busta. She graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School in 1968. She married Roland Vlasak at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on September 14, 1974. She worked at the Ben Franklin Store and SMT Packaging in Montgomery. Sharon was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed needlepoint, crafting and gardening.

She is survived by her husband; her mother; brothers Robert Busta and David (Denise) Busta; sisters Janet (Allan) Vlasak, Karen Busta (and friend Scott Vomacka), and Carol (Brian) Schoenbauer; nieces and nephews Carrie Busta, Shailyn and Kyle Busta, Paula and Jay Mills, Pamela and Josh Beulke, Bryan Vlasak, Christopher and Carrie Vlasak, Tim, Andy, Jeremy, and Gregory Plonski, Stacie Flores and Amanda, Jennifer, and Kaitlyn Schoenbauer; and grandnieces and nephews Seth, Cayanne, and Cayden Busta, Emma and Daniel Mills, and Carter and Carson Beulke.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m.

Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation was held at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
