Snow will challenge area turkey hunters
More snow is going to make the Spring Turkey opener a challenge.
Normally there is no snow for the April 17 opener, and last year things were pretty green by now. The Toms are strutting and they are making some noise. All in all it should be an interesting open to say the least.
Ice fishing here in the south is about over. Ice is slowly going. In the north there is still plenty of ice, and lots of ice fishing still going on.
Recent cold temperatures and snow will slow the melt down even more. Weather is going to have to make a big turn around to start things moving the other way.
The birds here in the south are watching the snow melt once more. They are ready to start nesting.
