Softball team splits four games

The WEM softball team split four games last week. They lost an 8-7 contest April 18 to Maple River which dropped their Gopher Conference record to 1-3. Saturday, April 22 the Bucs placed second in the Nicollet Tourney. WEM defeated Nicollet (13-6) and Madelia-Truman (12-3) before losing to Sibley East (4-3). Kate Masberg and Maddy Meskan each hit .500 for the tourney. Hailie Tegmeier hit .455 and Megan Adnak hit .364. WEM is 5-4 thus far this season and will play Maple River (Thursday), JWP (Friday), and Randolph (Tuesday). For more on the week's games, check out the April 27 edition of the LIFE/Enterprise.
