A special and rare birthday

Cade Passe, a sixth grader at Montgomery Middle School, turns 12 on Wednesday. Specifically, he turns 12-years-old on December 12, 2012: the twelfth day of the twelfth month of the twelfth year of his life. It’s a phenomenon that can only happen to people born at the turn of the century, or in Cade’s case, the year 2000. Cade’s big celebration for the day will come next summer when he and his family travel to Iowa to see the state capital and visit the Science Museum. Until then, they celebrated with dinner at Red Lobster, and a night of family bowling and shopping last weekend.  On Wednesday, Cade said he will celebrate by going to Culvers with his grandfather and grandmother.
