St. Francis defeats Elko 3-1 in third round play

The Elko Express, Region 6C baseball champions, were eliminated in the State Class C Tournament as they lost to St. Francis, 3-1, in third round play Friday at Norwood.

The Express, managed by Terry Fredrickson, finished the season with a very good 37-6 overall record and led the D-R-S league in wins with a 20-2 record in 22 games.
