The Tri-City United Titan boys hoops team continues to struggle in competition with most teams, particularly those in the Minnesota River Conference. In games played last week, the guys lost to the Belle Plaine Tigers 60-48 on Tuesday, and fell hard to the Norwood Young America Raiders on Friday by the final score of 75-47.

The Titans again fell behind in the first half and were unable to recover in the loss to the Tigers.
Pat Lloyd was the only TCU player scoring in double figures with 12 points. Aaron Dwyer and Jordan Trnka followed with seven points apiece, with other contributors being Ryan Iverson (6), Andrew Feddema (5), Jamison Beulke and Alex Turgeon (4) and Charlie Simonette (3).
The Tigers had some big hitters in Gavin Dauwalter with 18 points, followed by Alec Koepp with 17. Luke Narveson added nine points and Aaron Bigaouette eight, to lead the BP attack.

The Titans got a real lesson on the court Friday night against the Raiders of Norwood Young America Central.
The Raiders had four shooters in double figures — Luke Marschall leading the way with 22 points, Tom Messner and Trevor Groschen each with 13, and Andrew Cardinal 10.
The Titans countered with Alex Turgeon hitting the rim for 17 points and Andrew Feddema helping with 11, but that 1-2 punch wasn’t near enough to stay with the heavy balance of the Raiders.
The Titans also had scoring from Charlie Simonette (5), Aaron Dwyer and Connor Oak (3), David Trcka, Ryan Iverson and Jordan Trnka (2), and Jeremy Johnson and Pat Lloyd contributing a single point apiece.
Titan head coach Andrew Meier did not comment on the play of his team.
