TCU to hold pre-Prom safety event


Tri-City United Schools will  hold a pre-prom TCU Safety Event on Friday, April 26. The event is called, “Arrive Alive” and will be held at the TCU High School beginning at 7:50 a.m.
“Arrive Alive will give students a change to see the impact of distracted driving without feeling the deadly effects. 
Students in grades 11 and  12 will be involved and will experience the consequences of driving under the influence, and texting while driving and distracted driving while behind the wheel of a vehicle simulator.  It will be held from 7:50 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. outside the Ag Shop area. High School Principal Alan Fitterer added that he is also trying to schedule the event for students in grade 10.
TCU Prom is scheduled for Saturday, May 4.
The program is sponsored by UNITE International.
