Tennis season ends at individual sections

The New Prague Trojan boys tennis team finished off a successful season Saturday, May 27, with six players participating in the Section 2AA individual tournament. Eric Morris and Jacob Washa, coming off their 14-3 regular season, received a No. 2 seed and a first round bye in the doubles tournament. The other Trojans were unseeded.

In the singles draw, Tony Larson was matched against Zach Riehl of Hutchinson. Tony played very well, hitting hard and contesting every point, but lost in a three-set battle, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. It was the longest match of the first round.

Josh Kasendorf also had a good match, losing to a very consistent and accurate Michael Johnson of Prior Lake 6-4, 6-3.
