Tennis team heads to sections

The New Prague Trojan girls tennis team received the No. 6 seed in the northern half of Section 1AA. They will open the section playoffs at the southern No. 3 seed, Winona at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Winona Middle School. The winner takes on either Faribault or Lakeville South in the quarterfinals on Thursday, Oct. 7.

First round pairings are :

Albert Lea (8S) at Lakeville North (1N)

Northfield (5N) vs. Owatonna (4S) at Faribault

Rochester John Marshall (6S) at Red Wing (3N)

Farmington (7N) at Rochester Century (2S)

Faribault (7S) at Lakeville South (2N)

New Prague (6N) at Winona (3S)

Austin (5S) at Hastings (4N)

Rochester Mayo (1S) - bye
