Three local girls compete in Jr. PGA Section Championship
Three girls from New Prague took part in the Minnesota Section Junior PGA Championship golf tournament at Breezy Point Resort Golf Club and Deacon's Lodge Golf Club in Breezy Point July 16 and 17.
Steffi Neisen shot a two-day total of 155, finishing in 11th place. Amber Houser of New Prague tied for 12th with a 164, and McKenzie Neisen of New Prague was 14th with a 166.
Amy Anderson of Oxbow, ND, won the meet with a 141, beating Cassie Deeg of Withrow by seven strokes.
Robert Bell of Pierz won the boys competition in a one-hole playoff over Alex Robb of Chanhassen. Both carded 138.
Bell and Anderson will represent the Minnesota Section at the National Junior PGA Championship August 13 to 16 at TPC River's Bend in Mainville, OH.
