Three pointers lift WEM over Maple River

The WEM girls basketball team defeated Maple River, 52-47, Friday, Feb. 3 for their lone win of the week. Five different players, including Kate Mabserg, Paige Pittmann, MaeLea Harmon, Brielle Bartelt, and Shelby Hermel, each hit three-pointers in the victory. WEM also dropped a game to St. Clair, 60-36, Thursday, Feb. 2. NRHEG clinched the Gopher Conference title Tuesday, Feb. 7 with a 65-45 win over WEM. The Bucs, 10-11 overall and 6-4 in the Gopher Conference, plays at Triton Feb. 9, hosts Mankato Loyola Feb. 14, and hosts Medford Feb. 17.
