Three Trojans qualify for state golf meet

The New Prague Trojan girls golf team came oh-so-close to winning the Section 2AAA championship Tuesday, but had to settle for second place.

The Trojans had a 10-stroke lead over both Eden Prairie and Burnsville after the first day of play at Oakdale Golf Course in Buffalo Lake, but the Eagles were able to make up the difference and tie New Prague for the low score at 664 after the second round. The Eagles claimed the Section championship based on each teams' No. 5 score.
