Tillie Lorence, 84

Tillie Lorence, 84, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.

Tillie was born on January 1, 1929, in Montgomery. She attended country school and graduated from Montgomery High School. She married James C. Lorence on November 28, 1953, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Tillie enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and was an excellent seamstress.

She is survived by her husband; children Jim Lorence Jr. (and friend Jodie Witt), Montgomery, and Marilyn (Gary) Schwartz, St. Cloud; grandchildren Rob (Ann) Schwartz and their children Erika and Ellie, Ben (Angie) Schwartz and their children Little Ben and Jack, and Eva Schwartz and her daughter Kylie Schwartz, all of St. Cloud; siblings Mayme (Emil) Knish, Le Center, Jim  (Shirley) Kopet, Anoka, and Joe (Shirley) Kopet, Shakopee; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Helen Jelinek and Alvin Kopet.

Funeral services were held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on Friday, May 31, at 11 a.m. Burial was at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation was held at the church on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. 

Arrangements were with the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
