Titan runners place high in MRC Championships
The Tri-City United cross country runners had some good performances in the Minnesota River Conference Championships held Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Norwood Young America.
The Titan boys finished 3rd in team rankings, while the girls were 4th. Individually, Titans Hugo Ruiz, Ben Barnack, Sarah Novak and Jaylee Hanvelt earned all-conference honors for their finishes, and Eric Rabenberg was the Junior High conference champion.
We have had a very successful season, and I was happy with the effort, said TCU coach Brian Fogal. ³The boys all ran season-best times at the MRC meet.
The Titans race again Thursday, Oct. 29, at the section meet to be held at the Montgomery National Golf Course.
Boys Varsity
Hugo Ruiz once again paced the Titan boys, finishing 3rd in a time of 17:31. Ben Barnack was close behind in 5th place, followed by Chris Pieper 13th, Noah Stephens 15th and Thomas Franek 18th. Completing the Titan team were Hunter Rutt 26th and Jackson Vossberg 41st.
Girls Varsity
The Titan girls were again led by Jaylee Hanvelt, who placed 4th in a
time of 20:58. Sarah Novak came in 9th, with Grace Factor 22nd, Erica
Jackson 24th, and Brooke Balfe 27th. Completing the team were Joslyn Vargo 30th and Michaela Goettl 31st.
