Titans use 7-run inning to beat Le Sueur Henderson

Trailing by five runs in the sixth inning, the TCU Majors Babe Ruth team used a seven-run blast to beat the Le Sueur Henderson 2 team 13-11 on Tuesday.

The Titans started the sixth inning, trailing 11- 6 before Dawson Pint and Carter Simon led off the inning with singles and came in on walks to Devin Vosejpka and Ryan Mikel. 

According to Coach Greg Feddema, the big hit was a two-run double by Sam Barnack to right center to score Nick Johnson and Matthew Feddema. 

Matthew Feddema started on the mound and only went two-thirds of an inning, giving up six runs (three earned) on four walks. Nick Johnson came in and pitched the rest of the way for six and a third innings, giving up six hits, two walks, five strikeouts, getting the win.

Batting for the Titans were Nick Johnson 1-5 with an RBI; Matthew Feddema 1-3 with an RBI; Sam Barnack was 1-5 with a double and 2 RBI’s; Tyler Sladek 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI’s; Dawson Pint 2-4 with an RBI; Carter Simon 2-4; Jeremy Johnson 1-4 with an RBI; Devin Vosejpka 1-2 with an RBI; and Tyler Budin 1-2.

Next action

The next game for the Titans is Thursday at home when they take on Sibley East. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
