Township voters go to the polls Tuesday

Voters go to the polls Tuesday, March 7, in seven area townships to choose township clerks and supervisors.

In two of these townships, this could be the last township election to be held in March.

Belle Plaine Township, in Scott County, and Lanesburgh Township, in Le Sueur County, will ask voters whether the elections should be moved to the general elections held every other November.

Helena Township made the move to November elections several years ago.

Only one township has multiple candidates for office.
