Tri-City United girls no match for talented NYA hoops team

The Tri-City United Titan basketball girls found out why the Norwood Young America Central team has had only one loss in Minnesota River Conference play at this point of the season. Unfortunately, the Titans found out the hard way in a 65-32 loss to the talented Raiders on Friday, Jan. 18.
Titan coach Kevin Woitas had a simple explanation for the one-sided loss: “Basically, turnovers and cold shooting have been our struggles this season, and they continued on Friday night.”
Leading scorer for the Titans was Alyshia Angileno with 10 points, on four field goals and two free throws. Scoring four points apiece were Joslyn Vargo, Madie Chadderdon, Megan Steffen and Danielle Angileno, while also hitting the scoring column with two points were Molly Ehlers, Samantha Ruger and Annie McCrady.
Rebounding leaders were Alyshia Angileno (8), Vargo (7), Chelsey Walerius (7), Chadderdon (6), and Steffen (6).
The stat sheet on the game showed the Titans shooting only 22 percent from the field.
