Tri-City United graduates 102

The alumni of Tri-City United High School grew by 102 members on Friday, May 26.

The high school held its fifth annual commencement exercises in the high school auditorium where a new group of Titan seniors became alumni.

The one-hour and 20-minute program was full of Titan pomp and circumstance as the TCU School Board conferred diplomas to the graduates in front of family and friends who packed into the gym.

The program was also filled with speeches from Superintendent Dr. Teri Preisler, High School Principal Alan Fitterer and two student speakers, Kyle Yetzer and Allie Geist.

Fitterer reminded the students that each of them has the opportunity to begin anew.

“You have the world in your hands; you can choose to squash it or help it grow. Whatever you do, choose carefully,” Fitterer said.

Yetzer recounted the “firsts” he and his classmates experienced together. He said, like a team, they now split into 102 different ways as each graduate goes in their life’s direction.
