Trojan boys coast in Missota hockey opener

New Prague won its Missota Conference boys hockey opener Tuesday, Dec. 23, with a 5-1 win over Northfield.

The Trojans controlled the tempo throughout the game, peppering the Northfield goal with 47 shots on goal. Tyler Lapic got the Trojans going with an unassisted goal at 9:25 of the first period. Thomas Fadden scored his first goal of the season at 1:55, with assists from Tyler Witty and Adam Corr, then Corr got his first varsity goal at 6:26 of the period, with assists from Trevin Smith and Darren Lapic.
