Trojan boys track team wins at Faribault

New Prague High School’s boys track team opened its season at Faribault Tuesday, April 5, placing first of five teams at the Faribault Invitational.

New Prague had 158 points, with Faribault next at 134. Other teams were St. Paul Arlington (39), Dover-Eyota/St. Charles (36) and Southwest Christian (2)

New Prague had a strong showing from a number of athletes, with nine first place finishes.

New Prague won both throwing events, with Mike Hoemke winning the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 8 inches, while Kevin Pexa won the discus with a throw of 127-11.
