Trojan Clay Target team headed to state

All five of New Prague's shooters scored 96 or better, giving the Trojans a team score of 491 to place first at the Class 8A Minnesota Clay Target League Championships at Alexandria on Tuesday, June 21.

New Prague and second place Prior Lake qualified for the season's final event, the Minnesota State High School League Championships, to be held at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake, Saturday, June 25.

The Trojans' Ben Dietz was the only shooter in the day's competition to finish with a perfect 100 targets.

Top five team scores in Class 8A were: New Prague - 491; Prior Lake - 482; Lakeville South - 481; Hastings - 480; Alexandria - 478.
