Trojan girls on 4-game winning streak
The New Prague Trojans tamed a pair of Tigers last week, defeating Albert Lea and Farmington in girls basketball action.
The Trojans (8-4, 3-1 Missota) will go on the road this week looking to extend their four-game winning streak. They were scheduled to play at Red Wing Tuesday and will travel to Prior Lake on Friday. On Saturday, they have a makeup game at Mankato East, and on Tuesday, Jan. 30, they play at Shakopee.
Trojans 49, AL Tigers 43
Amanda Wagner scored 10 points in the first half to help the Trojans to a 29-24 halftime lead and New Prague went on to defeat Albert Lea 49-43 Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The Trojans' Whitney Trecker led all scorers with 15 points, while Wagner finished with 13. Becky Theisen added eight for the Trojans. No Albert Lea players finished in double figures.

Trojans 53, Farm.Tigers 48
The Trojans survived a second half in which they scored only 10 points to take a 53-48 win over Farmington Friday at New Prague.
New Prague's Whitney Trecker scored 19 points in the first half as the Trojans dominated play on their way to a 43-24 halftime lead.
However, the Trojan offense disappeared in the second half, as they managed only two field goals, both by freshman Hannah Strop. New Prague added six free throws, most of those coming in the final minutes.
Trecker finished with a game-high 23 points and was the only Trojan in double figures. Wagner had eight for New Prague.
