Trojan girls fall to Lakeville North
The New Prague Trojan girls basketball team jumped to a 15-2 lead Tuesday, Dec. 6, over Lakeville North, but faltered down the stretch and dropped a 67-58 overtime contest to the defending Section 1AAAA champion Panthers. Maizie Deihl (pictured) had 21 points for the Trojans and Taylor Hustad added 20. The Trojans’ next game will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at home against Hopkins. Also last night, the Trojan boys went to 2-0, defeating Lakeville South 65-50 with four players in double figures, led by Jacob Milinkovich with 16, and the girls hockey team scored three goals in the third for a comeback 3-1 win over Mound Westonka, putting theier record at season 3-3-1 (2-0 conference).
