Trojan girls top Stars, Tigers

The New Prague Trojan girls basketball team continues to impress as they won a pair of games last week.

The Trojans overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Holy Angels 66-53 on Friday, Feb. 4, and the next afternoon they defeated Albert Lea 72-42 in a makeup game. That game had been scheduled for February 1, but was postponed due to poor weather conditions in the Albert Lea area.

New Prague (14-5, 6-2 Missota) is rated No. 8 in Class AAA. They are scheduled to host Northfield Tuesday, Feb. 8. They have two more home games this week, facing Prior Lake at 6 p.m.
