Trojan volleyball team falls in 2AAA play

New Prague High School's varsity volleyball team ended its season Wednesday with a 25-23, 25-16, 25-22 loss to Prior Lake in the first round of the Section 2AAA volleyball tournament.

The Trojans close out their season with a 7-17-2 record. Prior Lake plays at Waconia in the section quarterfinals Friday, Oct. 29.

Other first round matches saw Buffalo defeating Willmar and Minnetonka beating Mankato West. Buffalo plays at Shakopee and Minnetonka plays at Eden Prairie in the quarterfinals. The other quarterfinal match will have Chaska at Chanhassen.
