Trojans draw Hutch in 2AAA volleyball

The New Prague Trojan volleyball team drew the No. 10 seed for the Section 2AAA playoffs, which begin Wednesday, Oct. 26. 

New Prague will travel to Hutchinson, the No. 7 seed, for a 7 p.m. first round contest. The teams met on October 11, with New Prague claiming a five-set win. 

New Prague finished the regular season with an 11-17 record, while Hutchinson is 19-9. 

Prior Lake, Shakopee, Waconia and Eden Prairie are the top four seeds and get first round byes.

First round, Wednesday, Oct. 26

9 - Mankato West at 8 - Marshall

12 - Mankato East at 5 - Chaska

11 - Chanhassen at 6 - Minnetonka

10- New Prague at 7 - Hutchinson

Second round Friday, Oct. 27

West/Marshall winner at 1 - Prior Lake

East/Chaska winner at 4 - Eden Prairie

Chan/Minnetonka winner at 3 - Waconia

New Prague/Hutch winner at 2 - Shakopee
