Trojans fall to Shakopee, go 2-2 at Farmington tourney

The Trojan volleyball team evened its record at 1-1 in the Missota Conference last week, and also kept its record at .500 overall by going 2-2 at the Farmington Invitational Saturday.

New Prague returns to action Thursday, Sept. 21, when they host Holy Angels at 7 p.m. They have a non-conference match Monday at home against Mankato East, then have two Missota matches, at home against Red Wing on Tuesday, Sept. 26, and at Hutchinson on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Sabers def. Trojans

Shakopee, the conference favorite, hadn't lost a game all year long in building an 11-0 record, but the Trojans surprised them with a 25-23 win in Game 1.

However, the Sabers proved too strong for the Trojans. Using a strong attack, they overpowered New Prague on their way to a win, 23-25, 25-19, 15-13, 25-8.

We started off strong
