Trojans get 5-seed in 1AAAA baseball
The New Prague Trojan baseball team received the No. 5 seed for the Section 1AAAA baseball tournament, which starts Saturday, May 28.
The Trojans will travel to No. 4 seed Rochester Mayo for a 1 p.m. game Saturday, May 28, for the first round of the eight-team double-elimination tournament.
First round pairings:
All games, 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28
8-Farmington at 1-Lakeville North, 1 p.m.
5-New Prague at 4-Rochester Mayo
6-Rochester Century at 3-Owatonna
7-Lakeville South at 2-Rochester John Marshall
Win or lose, New Prague will play Monday, May 30, at Lakeville North. Loser’s bracket game is at 11 a.m., winner’s bracket game at 1:30 p.m. and another elimination game will be played at 4:30 p.m. Rochester John Marshall will host the other half of the bracket on the same day.
The tournament continues Saturday, June 4, at Dundas, with the finals on Tuesday, June 7, also at Dundas.
