Trojans girls fall prey to Hawks
The New Prague Trojan girls hockey team dropped its third straight game Tuesday, Nov. 21, falling at home to the Chaska Hawks, 4-2.
As they did in their other two losses, the Trojans held an early lead. Unlike their earlier losses, the Trojans gave up their goals earlier in the game and played most of the game in catch-up mode.
Breanne Hrabe scored a power play goal for the Trojans very early, at the 2:12 mark, with assists going to Jenna Kilpatrick and Breanna Bisek.
The Hawks tied it at 9:03 on a power play goal. Chaska scored at 13:16 and then added a power play goal at 14:54, to go into the locker room with a 3-1 lead.
The Trojans came out and controlled action in the second period, outshooting the Hawks 10-3. The only goal of the period came on a power play, with Hrabe assisting on a goal by Kacy Ambroz to cut the Chaska lead in half.
