Trojans lose opener to Owatonna

The New Prague Trojan volleyball team opened its 2008 campaign with an unexpected home match Tuesday, losing to Owatonna in three games, 27-25, 25-16, 25-23.

The match had been scheduled to be played in Owatonna, but was moved with short notice to New Prague because construction work on the Owatonna gym was not complete.

The Trojans overcame an eight-point deficit late in game one to tie the match at 24, then the teams traded the lead before the Huskies prevailed, 27-25.
