Trojans tip Skippers in 5

The New Prague Trojan volleyball team went the distance in their season opener at Minnetonka Friday, defeating the host Skippers in five games, 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 19-25, 15-10.

New Prague won the first two games, then dropped the next two against a talented Skippers' team.

In the fifth game the Trojans trailed 10-8 when Jess Hoffman stepped to the serving line. The senior hit seven straight serves and her teammates used good defense and a strong offensive attack from multiple players to take a 15-10 lead.
