Trojans top Tigers in finale
The New Prague Trojan football team won its regular season finale against Farmington, 30-17.
New Prague had a 22-8 lead after one quarter, with sophomore fullback Nathan Preston scoring on runs of 20 and 58 yards. Dakota Cole also scored on a 1-yard run. Farmington closed to 22-17, but the Trojans added a score on a 76-yard pass from Kyle Stepka to Luke Tietz with 9:22 left in the fourth quarter.
New Prague finishes the regular season with a 2-6 record, and likely clinched a top-four seed and a home game in the first round of the playoffs with the win. Seeding and first round matchups will be announced Thursday morning, and will be posted on this website.
