Tug-of-War contest hopes to pull in big crowd for second year

Anyone wanting to test their strength at Dozinky can get a group of friends together for the tug-of-war team challenge.

Back for a second year, the event will be held Saturday following the Parade of Farm Pride in Memorial Park. Sponsoring the event is DJ’s Tug-of-War team. There will be a demonstration by national teams and competition for novice teams.

The requirements for any team that decides to compete are the same as last year. The number of pullers on a team is optional, but their total weight may not exceed 1,200 pounds.
