Two incumbents defeated in township elections

Two area incumbent township supervisors were defeated at the polls during township elections Tuesday. Voters chose new supervisors in New Market and Webster townships.

In New Market township, Ken Chlan defeated incumbent Harry Anderson for a three-year term on the New Market Township Board of Supervisors.

Chlan received 93 votes, to Anderson's 70 to claim the spot on the Town Board. Incumbent treasurer David Frame won another two-year term to that post, with 92 votes.
