Two new coaches hired at NPHS
New Prague High School Activities Director Brad Skogerboe has announced two head coaches hired for the 2013-14 winter season. Both appointments are pending final approval by the New Prague Area School Board.
Christine Plambeck has been hired as the dance team coach. She has coached the team the last four years, while the activity was run out of the school's Community Education department. It will become a full-fledged activity for the 2013-14 season. A New Prague native, she attended St. Cloud State University, where she was a four-year member of the dance team. She and her husband Jerry live in New Prague. Christine is the owner of Ovations Dance Studio.
Andrea Peterson is the new head girls hockey coach, replacing Matt Miller. Peterson was an assistant coach for the Trojans last year. She is a graduate of White Bear Lake High School and Gustavus Adolphus College, where she was the Division III player of the year in 2007. She served as an assistant coach at Gustavus for four seasons. She teaches physical education at Eagle View Elementary in Elko New Market and lives in Lakeville.
