Two NPHS grads to tour Italy with St. Thomas choir

Brendan Erickson, son of Steve and JeNean Erickson of New Prague, and Tim Sullivan, son of Pat and Margaret Sullivan of New Prague, were among members of the University of St. Thomas Liturgical Choir who will leave Friday, Dec. 21, for a 10-day pilgrimage and performance tour marking the choir's 30th anniversary. Both 2006 New Prague High School graduates sing bass in the choir.

By Christmas Eve, the 58-member choir will be in Rome, hoping to sing at Pope Benedict XVI's Midnight Mass in St. Peter's Basilica. Plans are firming up for the choir to serve again, as it did on tours in 1987 and 1997, as choro guida
