UPDATED: Four die in accident


Four people have died in a two-vehicle accident on Friday, Sept. 27, west of Montgomery. 

Jeffrey J. Miller 22, of Le Center, Travis A. Reak 24, also of Le Center, Condon Hulgan 51, and his step-daughter Mary Urtuzuastegui 11, of Montgomery, all died at the scene.

Mark Miller, 24, of Le Center, was injured and flown to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale with non life threatening injuries. He is listed in stable, but serious condition.

According to the MN State Patrol, the two-vehicle accident occurred on Lexington Road, west of Montgomery.  Jeff Miller was driving a 1979 Mercedes with Reak and Mark Miller as passengers, eastbound on County Road 26. The report listed that none of the men were wearing their seatbelts.

It is not known if alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Hulgan was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer with Urtuzuastegui westbound when the two vehicles collided head on at approximately 10:02 p.m. causing Hulgan's vehicle to burst into flames.

The Montgomery Fire and Police Departments, North Ambulance North Air Care, Mayo Air Care and the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department assisted on the scene.
