Veterans honored at high school program

By Patrick Fisher

The veterans who paid for the price of freedom, either by serving or with the ultimate sacrifice, were honored during a program at New Prague High School on Veteran’s Day, Thursday, Nov. 11.

Master of ceremonies Steve Collins, New Prague High School assistant principal, said that while America’s veterans helped pay for freedom, the costs they paid must be remembered.

The New Prague High School Band opened the event, held in the high school gym, with the medley, Salute to America’s Finest. The colors were presented by the New Prague Veterans Honor Guard.
