Victoria Wagner, 67

Victoria “Vicki” L. Wagner, 67, of Elko, died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Southdale.

She was born on April 27, 1938, in Lonsdale, to Frank J. and Hedwig (Pekar) Skluzacek. Vicki attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Lonsdale and Bethlehem Academy in Faribault.

Vicki married Leander A. Wagner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale on June 14, 1960. She was a homemaker and also worked as a sales associate at Burnsville Center for various retailers. Vicki was a member of Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid Society and Eucharistic Minister at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating and fishing. Vicki was a former “Miss Company A” for the New Prague Army Reserve.

She is survived by her husband; six children, Lynette (Scott) Henry, Elko, Renee (Todd) Henry, Lakeville, Ken (Monica) Wagner, Santa Barbara, CA, Bobbi Dock, Lakeville, Tammy (Dave) Stanczak, Apple Valley, Darin Wagner, Elko; 10 grandchildren; special friend, Lucille Schmitz, New Prague; two brothers, Rudy (Arlene) Skluzacek, Lonsdale, Ernie (Mary Lou) Skluzacek, Webster; one sister, Ann (Jack) Pint, New Prague; sister-in-law, Marion Skluzacek, Lonsdale.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clem, Alois and Rev. Alfred Skluzacek; brother-in-law, Robert Pint; sister-in-law, Adeline Skluzacek.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in New Market. Rev. Bobby Pish officiated.

Pallbearers were her children.

Interment was at St. Nicholas Cemetery in New Market.

Visitation was held on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. with parish wake prayers at 5 p.m. at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague and at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
