Vikings in Scott County?

The Minnesota Vikings stadium saga has taken a southerly trip into Scott County.

Shakopee mayor Brad Tabke and other city officials have scheduled a press conference for 4 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the state capitol a proposal for a stadium at the abandoned ADC site, near Valleyfair in Shakopee. The property owner has signed a letter of intent to sell the land for a possible stadium.

ADC was in the process of constructing a new building when the company filed for bankruptcy in 2001, and the building was never finished.
