New Prague native, Twin Cities Sports Blogger and Minnesota Twins fan Lindsay Guentzel hopes to add a touch of Minnesota Nice to the MLB Fan Cave's posh location in New York City's Greenwich Village this April. On Wednesday morning, Feb. 8, it was announced that she is among the Top 50 applicants in this year's competition. The fans chosen to take over in April will watch every game of baseball, starting from Opening Day on April 6 through the World Series in October.
An Online Fan Vote is open from Wednesday, Feb. 8 to Monday, Feb. 20. Fans can show their support on MLBFanCave.com.
The daughter of Jim and Karen Guentzel, Lindsay graduated from New Prague High School in 2004, and attended the University of Minnesota. She has been a sportswriter for the Minnesota Daily and interned in the sports department at WCCO-TV. She has also worked for KFAN Radio and now works as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports North Prep Zone.
