Warren Wilson, 62

Warren E. Wilson, 62, of New Prague,died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his home. Warren was born September 8, 1950, in Santa Cruz, CA, a son of Robert and Anita (Grant) Wilson. Born and raised in California, he attended St. Mary’s University and worked as an IBM consultant, moving to Minnesota in 1991. He married his first wife, Theresa, in California, and later married Anita York on June 29, 1998, in Maui, HI. He was considered to be kind, giving, helping and a selfless individual. Warren was an avid Harley rider and loved his animals, a horse Scooby and dog Maggie. He was a member of the Minnesota Quarter Horse Assn., MN Amateur Quarter Horse Assn. and District 4 Quarter Horse Assn. He is survived by his wife; a daughter Kim (Nick) Norton, Columbia, CA; grandchildren Jackson and Jana Norton, Columbia, CA; a brother Robert Wilson; mother-in-law Gena York, New Prague; brother-in-law Kenneth York (Heidi Josephson), Rochester Hills, MI; and a niece Josee´ York. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m., at the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Lakeville, with the Rev. Mike Swecker officiating. Honorary urn bearer will be Denny Rocheleau. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Animal Humane Society. Arrangements are with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
