Watertown-Mayer ends TCU bid for Section Champ
The TCU baseball team ended its season on Saturday in the Section 2AA game in Belle Plaine.
TCU 2 - Watertown 13
According to Titan Coach Bruce Davis, Watertown used four TCU errors on the way to a five-inning victory.
Joe Rynda started on the mound for TCU before Ted Christian, David Trcka, and Cole Pint each pitched for TCU.
Matt Holicky picked up TCU's two RBIs on a double.
The Titans finished the season 12-9.
TCU 2 - St. Peter 13
Earlier last week, the Titans continued to battle for a spot in the subsection 2AA baseball play. The Titans fell to the St. Peter Saints in Montgomery after five innings, with a score of 13-2 on Thursday.
The TCU team scored its first run in the 2nd inning when Cole Pint’s single brought home Ted Christian.
However, the Titans fell into trouble in the 3rd inning when multiple errors left the door open for the Saints to score 8 runs.
The local team didn’t score again until the 5th inning when David Trcka scored Ryan Iverson.
