Wick, Tomlinson run well at state CC meet

New Prague High School freshman Molly Wick earned all-state honors by placing 18th at the Minnesota Class AA girls cross country meet Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield. Senior Preston Tomlinson also ran strong at the boys meet, finishing 64th of 160 runners.

Wick, who finished fourth at the Section 2AA meet a week earlier, kept near the leaders for much of the first half of the race, and was just 13 seconds off the pace at the one-mile mark. She finished the 4,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 2 seconds.
