Wilfred Bisek, 87

Wilfred L. Willie Bisek, 87, of New Prague, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the Lodge on Natchez Hospice in Elko New Market.

Wilfred Bisek was born January 31, 1924, to William J. and Mary B. (Snorek) Bisek in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County. He was a lifelong resident of New Prague and attended St. Wenceslaus School and New Prague High School.

His marriage to Evelyn K. Horejsi took place on December 30, 1946. He worked for many years at AMPI in New Prague, first as a milk handler and later as a buttermaker and lab worker (milk testing).

He loved playing cards, fishing and hunting, and watching sports.

He is survived by three children, Charles W. (Connie) Bisek of Maple Grove, Catherine M. (Lee) Goemer of Bakersfield, CA, and RoxAnne (Dennis) Busch of New Prague; two brothers, Blase Bisek and Cyril (Lorraine) Bisek of New Prague; sisters-in-law Elsie Tupy and Emily Tikalsky, both of New Prague; brother-in-law Justin Deutsch of New Prague; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, on February 27, 1988; his parents; brothers Roman Bisek and Richard Bisek; and sisters Rita Deutsch and Marion Giesen.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with Father Kevin Clinton of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church officiating. Visitation was from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Bruzek Funeral Home, prior to services. Interment was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in New Prague.
