William Horejsi, 22

William Kenneth Willie Horejsi, 22, of New Prague, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at The Lodge on Natchez Hospice in Elko New Market.

Born November 15, 1985, in New Prague, Willie was a son of Kenneth and Carol (Rinde) Horejsi. He received his sacraments at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli. He played varsity high school tennis and was a 2004 graduate of New Prague High School. He received an AA degree from Normandale Junior College in 2006 and attended Seattle Central Community College in Seattle, WA. Willie was a former volunteer for Paul Wellstone and the Minnesota Democratic Party and was a member of ACLU.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Alan Hansen of New Prague; his father of Webster; brothers Adam and Dan Horejsi, New Prague; grandparents Edward and Inez Horejsi, Northfield; aunts and uncle Kathy (Richard) Jandro, Dundas, Margaret (Pat) Andre, Edina and Steve Rinde, Madelia; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Roy and Lorraine Rinde.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, at 5 p.m., at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, with Rev. Diane Goulson officiating. A time for sharing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. following the service.

Willie's remains have been donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomical Bequest Program.

Honorary casket bearers are Gage Doehlert, Jason Tupy, Mark Coons, Kristi Coons, Dan Puls and Kenny Beach.

Memorials are preferred to The Lodge on Natchez Hospice at Elko New Market and the Regions Hospital Foundation.

Arrangements are with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
