Without Kick, Trojans take 3rd at True Team state meet

With their top athlete on the injured list the New Prague Trojan gymnastics team took third place at the State True Team gymnastics meet Saturday at Melrose.

Perham won the meet with 181.755 points. In this meet, all five gymnasts' points are scored for the team in each event. Becker took second at 176.825, and the Trojans had 173.85.

It was a hard meet to measure our performance, said Trojan coach Matt Shetka. It's somewhat frustrating when we know we could have done much better, he said.

Still it's nice to know that we could have a bad meet, be without our top scorer, and still finish third.
