Wrapping up 'DOUGH-zhink-ee'

Another Dozinky is in the books. Huge crowds showed up Friday evening and Saturday afternoon for the Friday Cruise Night and the Saturday Dozinky Parade.
Dozinky keeps us all busy at the Times, with so many things going on. After spending time downtown Friday and then going to the World Concertina Congress Hall of Fame event at the Park Ballroom, I went home to get some sleep. I got up Saturday and spent most of the day downtown, arriving before 10 a.m. and not leaving until 5 p.m. I'm not sure how many miles I walked, but I do know that I took about 400 photos by myself. Patrick Fisher took a few hundred as well. By Monday morning, we both had whittled down our photos to a manageable number and the process of choosing which photos to use in the paper took its course.
On top of all the Dozinky activities, there were also the usual weekly duties, stories and photographs to put out. This job does require one to be a Jack-of-all-trades.
